As a photography publication, we would have preferred the Pro version of the Pixel 6 with the 50MP triple camera system for review, that is, had Google brought it to India. But the company decided to launch only the Pixel 6A, the compact base model with dual 12-megapixel cameras. And here is what we found out.
Design and Build Quality
Google does not release too many devices, and the Pixels are easily some of the clean and premium-looking smartphones around. The Pixel 6A has a double glass design, and is available in Sage (almost green), Chalk (white) and Charcoal (well, that would be charcoal) finishes. The device has a glossy black protruding band that houses the rear cameras and flash. A Corning Gorilla Glass 3 cover glass protects the screen, while an IP67 rating protects the device from accidental water damage.
Key Features
The Google Pixel 6A uses a 6.1-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2400) OLED display supporting up to 60 Hz refresh rate. The display supports HDR and offers 24-bit depth. The phone is powered by a Google Tensor processor along with a Titan M2 security co-processor. It offers 6 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB UFS 3.1 storage.
