Google's Pixel smartphones have the distinction of having some of the best camera systems in Android. The last flagship, Pixel 6 Pro, was not sold in India and hence the Pixel 7 Pro had been much awaited.
Design and Build Quality
The Google Pixel 7 Pro has a polished aluminium frame that extends to the camera housing in the form of a band. The camera design is similar to the Pixel 6 series, though with the metal housing offering better protection. The housing protrudes quite a bit, and this remains the only inconvenience in terms of design. The screen and back surface are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus panels. It bears an IP68 rating for water resistance. Overall, the phone looks clean, stylish and premium in spite of the thick camera housing belt. The device is available in Hazel, Snow, and Obsidian finishes. The phone is quite large at 162.9 x 76.6 x 8.9 mm and heavy at 212 g. It is taller than the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Key Features
The Google Pixel 7 Pro is powered by Google's latest Tensor G2 processor with Titan M2 security coprocessor. The device uses a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1440 x 3120) LTPO OLED display with 512 PPI pixel density. The display offers variable refresh rate from 60 to 120 Hz and supports HDR with 24-bit depth. The device provides always-on display. The phone features 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and is available in India with 128GB memory.
