Design & Build Quality The camera body appears well-built to last a number of years of professional use. The outer body is made with magnesium alloy that is strong yet lightweight. The body is weather resistant and made in Thailand. Incidentally, the Sony A7 IV has been awarded ‘EISA Full-Frame Camera 2022-2023’.
Key Features The Sony A7 IV is a 33-megapixel (effective) Interchangeable Lens Mirrorless Camera (ILMC) with a full frame 35.9 x 23.9 mm newly developed Back-illuminated CMOS imaging sensor. It uses the same processing engine (the new BIONZ XR) that is also used on their flagship model A1, and A7 S III. As per Sony, the A7 IV offers 15 stops of dynamic range. The camera is most suitable for photographers who love to shoot landscapes, portraits, low-light portraits and nightscapes. Sony also claim that the A7 IV produces better colour reproduction accuracy than the A7 III.
