What made you get into wildlife photography? Even I’m not sure what made me enter into wildlife photography. I loved photography in general, but I believe it was love for travel and seeing new places that triggered the bug. I was into sketching and painting, so I happened to buy a 70210 mm lens to photograph portraits to help me sketch later. But I found it fascinating when I started observing birds and animals with a telephoto lens. I suppose that made me shift to wildlife photography.
Did you study photography and photographing wildlife in general, or are you self-taught? No, I didn’t study photography formally. I had a darkroom in college, so I learnt all the B&W darkroom work in college. My background in painting helped me indirectly to learn the finer aspect of imagery. But I continue to learn, unlearn and study photography as a continuous process.
