Cricket Today|December 30, 2022
The middle-order in T20ls for 2022 pretty much picks itself. Virat Kohli, who made a terrific comeback after a short break, will occupy the No. 3 slot. He smashed 781 runs in 20 matches at an average of 55.78 and a strike rate of 138.23...

BEST T201 XI OF 2022: KOHLI, SKY, ARSHDEEP MAKE THE CUT, BUTTLER TO LEAD

The year 2022 saw a lot of action in T20I cricket. All teams played a lot of T20 games, while ODI cricket took a backseat, keeping the World Cup in Australia in mind. Looking at the T20I performances of top teams in 2022, India played 40 matches, won 28, and lost only 10, giving them an excellent win percentage of 73.07. However, the numbers are misleading as they faltered in the World Cup and the Asia Cup. In contrast, England lost 11 of their 27 T20Is but were crowned T20 champs. Further, Australia won 12 of their 21 games, Pakistan 14 off 26, South Africa 9 off 18, and New Zealand 15 off 22. There were some amazing performances from players across teams in 2022. On that basis, we tried to pick the T20I dream team of the year.

OPENERS: JOS BUTTLER (CAPTAIN), MOHAMMAD RIZWAN (WK)

England's T20 World Cup-winning captain Jos Buttler will open the batting and lead the team. The 32-year-old hammered 462 runs in 15 games at an average of 35.53 and a spectacular strike rate of 160.41.

WHY THE CURRENT INDIAN CRICKET TEAM SUPPORT STAFF IS UNDER THE SCANNER

Virat Kohli, the backbone of India's batting, has been dismissed six times in eight innings to deliveries pitched on the sixth stump outside off.
