My daughter Maya insists on making me visit some of the least glamorous places on Earth. This week, it was the National Poo Museum. There's no play on words there, it's actually a museum of poo- displaying poo.
Unusual to say the least, and on the surface, quite unappealing, but she sold the idea by carefully withholding information and using my own assumptions against me.
"There's a poo museum in Sandown, Dad! Can we go?"
"Winnie the Pooh? That 35 sounds good? I like Pooh.
"Oh, well Dad, if you like poo, you're going to really love this place!"
When we arrived at the door, and I realised the trick Maya had pulled, I made two more instant assumptions that poo would be c**p, and it'd be money down the toilet.
