I've been reading all sorts of weird and wonderful co stories about cats recently, weird and wonderful stories about cats recently, something I suppose I'm always likely to do having been writing books about them and feeding them "professionally" for 20 years.

Cats are murderous little swines (appalling attitude for a cat-sitter) and were clearly no different in the 1800s.

One lad named Tiddles proved this by single-handedly wiping out an entire species. A very feline thing to aspire to, of course, and Tiddles achieved this terrible feat by accompanying his owner, a lighthouse keeper, to his new post on a remote island named Stephen's Rock in 1894.
