Getting to know...Susie Blake

● My allotment takes up a lot of my time. I'm good at occupying myself and my granddaughters say I'm a great crafter - I do lots of felting and painting. But acting is my biggest passion in life and without work I get fidgety.

● I followed my family into acting. My cousins are Hayley and Juliet Mills and my great uncle was Sir John Mills. My grandmother was Annette Mills, who presented Muffin The Mule. When she died my mother Molly took over.

● In my latest play I'm a rather sinister character, which is a departure for me. It's a thriller called Murder In The Dark and my character lives on a remote farm. There's a car crash and a collection of people arrive at the farm and can't get away. When I told my son he said, "Oh good!" He likes it when I play baddies.
