Facial Massage

If - when you look at yourself in the mirror - you appreciate your face rather than denigrate it, that is a great start. Don't concentrate on what you don't like about it. Focus instead on what you do.

More important than anything is that you improve the blood supply to your face. Blood supplies oxygen and nutrients to the face, and in turn takes away the toxins. So the single best thing you can do is to massage your face, which will remove any tension, address congestion and promote lift.

My favourite tool to use for massage is gua sha, a plectrum of jade with which you gently yet firmly stroke the skin.

Dry skin lacks oil; dehydrated skin lacks water.

You need a two-pronged attack: to have enough protein and fatty acids in your diet; and to put the fatty acids into your skin in facial oil form and massage them in.

What's important is to keep your overall look youthful.
