Make-Up Hacks You Need To Know

DIY Liner

You can turn any eyeshadow into a liner by simply spraying a little setting spray on to an angled brush before dipping into your shadow. Don't soak your brush, and make sure to use the edge of the pan to do this, as it'll leave a slight film on your shadow that you may need to scrape off later.

Minimise Mistakes

Mistakes - we all make them. But it's not the end of the world if things go awry. Before you go in with the makeup remover, allow your errant product to dry fully before grabbing a cotton bud and gently rotating the tip on the area to lift off the damage without being too invasive. This is particularly effective with mascara. If this doesn't do the trick, opt for an oil-free micellar water to clean up, and leave the area to dry fully before going back in to touch up.

Get Set

If your make-up always feels a little "off" the problem may be with your base.

Ensure your skin (lips included) is gently exfoliated and well moisturised, making sure that each layer of skincare, primer and make-up has time to set before moving on to the next for the smoothest application. The formulas of some products don't work well with others, so it may be worth looking into this if you're still finding problems.

Lip Service

If you have a lippy that you love, but long for a less dramatic finish, using the bullet or your middle finger to dab it on to your lips may be the answer.
