Chris did not get off to a good start with Pangur the White
Chris Pascoe's Fun Tales
Penalty Claws

I've recently been cat-sitting a black cat called Pangur the White. Why? Not as in, "Why am I looking after him?" - though I'm sure the owner will eventually wonder why he let me - but why would you call a black cat "the White?"

Actually, before I go on, I once read that no cat is completely black all over and, somewhere, will have at least one white hair. Given the sensitive nature of Pangur the White for "sensitive" read short tempered and psychopathically violent - I'm not going to attempt to look for it. I think pawing around his belly painstakingly seeking a white hair would pretty much ensure I'd never play the guitar again. If I could play a guitar in the first place.
