Chris’s world shifts on its axis as WW2 history is rewritten...

My dad’s memory is fading a little these days, so it was great to hear him reminiscing about his favourite memories the other day...World War Two. Of course his happiest memories were of an entire world at war... why wouldn’t they be?

One of the most interesting things to come out of the conversation was learning a little bit more about the Luftwaffe attack on his shed. I mentioned here a while ago about the Germans blowing up Grandad’s back-yard toolshed, and so took a big interest when he brought the subject up again clearly he’s never quite moved on).

“Ah yes!” I said. I remember you saying they blew it to bits and your watering can went through next door’s roof!”

This seemed to annoy him.
