Ways With Fabric Scraps

As we're sure you already know, we do love a good "stash buster" project - they're a great chance to use up any bits you've got lying around. You can easily embellish, adorn or create an entirely new project just like we have done here with our lampshade, cushion cover and pixie cup. Stitched together using the fun and cheery Symone fabric range, it features deliciously irresistible shades of blue and orange, punchy geometrics and kitsch florals.

YOU'LL NEED:

Symone jelly roll, from hobbycraft.co.uk

Mint green polycotton, from minervacrafts.com

Lining fabric, 15cm x 50cm Lampshade, 25cm, from dannells.com

Leather strap remnants

Thin wadding, 15cm x 50cm

Scrap Lampshade

1 Cut patterned fabric down lengthways so all of the pieces are 3cm wide. Knot the end of a length at a join on the bottom edge (where the vertical strut meets the lower circle) and wrap the fabric around the circular lower edge. Tie to the frame when you run out and repeat with a second piece to cover the metal ring. Continue to cover the top ring.
