I haven't mentioned my parents in my columns very much recently. That's not because they haven't been up to their usual shenanigans, but because my mum finally discovered an outlet that sells My Weekly, having previously claimed it to be (as once related here) "not available anywhere" on the basis that her corner shop doesn't sell it. The fact her corner shop doesn't sell any magazines at all had a major bearing on that.
However, now having discovered to her shock that My Weekly is available in Tescos, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and just about everywhere else she shops, she buys it regularly and fact-checks every word I say. To be clear, she doesn't mind me relating any of the terrible things she and Dad do, just as long as I get my story straight.
