WHY GO?

Located on the west coast of the United States, Seattle is one of the most unique cities with a cool, hip centre and vast expanses of National Park right on its doorstep. You may know the city from some iconic film and TV shows - think Sleepless in Seattle, Frasier and Grey's Anatomy - but there's nothing like seeing this gorgeous (and often rainy) city in person. From its famously picturesque setting with views of Puget Sound just about everywhere, unique coffee houses, the lively Pike Place Market and stunning Chihuly Garden and Glass - there's something for everyone to see.

GET YOUR COFFEE FIX

Did you know Seattle has more coffee shops than any other city, and is home to the first-ever Starbucks? Established in 1971 in downtown Seattle, the store has kept its early appearance with its original mermaid logo on the window. Dubbed the 'Willy Wonka Factory of Coffee', there's also a Starbucks reserve roastery and tasting room (roastery.starbucks.com), which offers a one-of-a-kind drinks menu. All of the rare coffees are roasted on-site and it's a mesmerising experience, located just nine blocks from the original store.
