Of all the people the Duchess of Sussex ditched on her road to royalty, it's her ex-husband Trevor Engelson she fears the most. The 46-year-old film producer knows everything from her early fame-hunting days in LA, as well as the truth about her parents' split.

As Woman's Day previously reported, although he has maintained a dignified silence over the breakdown of their three-year marriage and nine-year relationship, Trevor has been flooded with offers from agents to write a tell-all memoir.

And according to royal expert Neil Sean, it's only a matter of time before Trevor's side of the story comes out.

"If he talks about how he was dumped and why, then it could be explosive. Meghan is not known for keeping any friends from her past and Trevor's story so far is a huge mystery."

Trevor and Meghan's marriage suffered when she relocated to Canada to film Suits, and according to author Andrew Morton, she declared her intention of divorce by sending her wedding and engagement rings back to him by mail. The return of the rings apparently "blindsided" Trevor and his family, who had "embraced her".
