As we slowly emerge from the pandemic, it's no secret people are desperate to get out and travel again after spending the last two years locked away in their homes.
Research from booking.com has confirmed this. A survey of 11,000 travellers, including 1000 Kiwis, found the desire to travel remains strong overall, with cost, safety and convenience being the top three considerations for those looking to book travel in the next year.
For more than half (53%) of New Zealanders, long-awaited family renuions are the main reason for dusting off the passport. However, although Kiwis are keen to travel, they want to save every penny, according to the APAC Travel Index. Here are some top tips for keeping prices low when going on that holiday you've been dreaming about since the pandemic.
1. Know your destination's peak season and avoid it! Keeping flexible is the best way to save money on flights and hotels. Research the busiest dates for your trip and navigate around them.
