"I turned 70 earlier this year but I refuse to entertain the idea of retirement. Looking at the stacks of paper full of plans on my desk, it 66 doesn't look like someone who's about to retire. I'm booking shows into next spring - there's an Asia and European tour, and possibly a holiday album out for Christmas.
I've still got so much to do that I often find myself working on weekends. I wrote and recorded a new album, Spark of Light, which came out in July, and I also have TV production companies developing new TV shows. And I'm just finishing Michael Bolton's Big Sexy Podcast, executive-produced by Will Ferrell. It's a spoof in which I play a self-obsessed podcast chat-show host, which comes out this autumn. I don't really have much time for golf!
