Do you want to be a Content Creator?

What's this career about?

A content creator creates educational or entertaining pieces of content. These could be texts, videos, audio files, images or other types of graphics like infographics.

Becoming a content creator can be challenging in the beginning, but it is overall fun and rewarding if you are creative. Writing and creative thinking lie at the core of being a content writer and creator. Still, content creation isn’t just about crafting words. It can be everything from managing social media to designing brochures to creating videos.

Content creators may be known by different names:

Influencers on social media have knowledge and expertise on a specific topic. They put up regular posts about that topic on their preferred social media channels and generate large followings of enthusiastic, engaged people who pay close attention to their views.

Bloggers write, edit, post and promote content on their web pages or websites. They generate and pitch ideas, compose and edit posts, market posts to readers, and conduct research.

Podcasters host and record episodes with a co-host or guest. Before that they plan and prepare episode topics and interview questions.

Video creators assemble raw footage and upload to a computer. They spend much of their time planning for video shoots, from researching actors and locations to creating storyboards and scripts. In fact, most of their work happens before and after the shoot itself, as editing can be just as time-consuming as the planning process.
