innovative technologies to pave way for eco-friendly
operations – from energy efficient buildings to smart waste
management systems. By adopting renewable energy sources
and implementing digital solutions for resource optimisation,
hotels can become pioneers of sustainability. Additionally,
technology can enable enhanced guest experiences through
personalised services, streamlined processes and interactive
amenities.

OF EVERYTHING the hotel industry offers, it is food that
resonates the most with guests. For them, especially those
in India, food is intricately woven into holiday plans. It is a
well-known fact that India’s connection with food is more than
just taste. Being as family-oriented as Indians are, meals are
usually the time of the day when all members of the family sit
together and catch up with each other. In fact, most of our
important conversations happen over food and in all homes,
at the centre of atithi satkaar is food – a delectable spread
that leaves guests chanting – yeh dil maange more...
With a connection this strong with food, coupled with
the growing affinity to spend and fine dine, it is no wonder
that food and beverage has become a game-changer. The
pandemic has led to refined tastes and the generation today
believes more in spending on worthy experiences than on
savings. And they don’t hesitate to speak out when they
don’t get their money’s worth.

It Is never too easy to break moulds and change perceptions
that have stuck onto you for centuries, be it on a person or
a country. For India too, to come out of the global opinion of
being the land of snake charmers and magic that the world
had created for it was a challenging task. Today, the country
is one of the fastest growing economies with its current
stable financial position, ever-expanding domestic market
and business climate drawing long-term investments from
around the globe. And with India holding the G20 Presidency,
the prospects look bright and encouraging, especially for the
travel and tourism industry.
