Brooklin hosts a meeting on its comprehensive plan process, while in Brooksville the library director is leaving for a new job. And a local real estate business changes hands with a new owner. 

School Union 76 announces a 20 percent increase in its central office budget. The owners of the Brooklin General Store reflect on their first year in operation. George Stevens Academy basketball shows its fighting spirit and rapid evolution on both the boys and girls squads. Tired of frozen shrimp from a bag? George Stevens Academy will again ask towns to pay an additional $1,700 per student to cover school costs. Sedgwick follows a growing trend among towns to move elected positions to appointed ones. The next generation of basketball at GSA has arrived.  A windstorm knocks out power for several days. Nomination papers for public offices in several towns are due soon. Sedgwick school officials tell their superintendent to refrain from working for them, following a similar vote by Deer Isle-Stonington schools. There were plenty of questions but no answers when 200 people showed up at a hearing about the future of three dams crucial to regulating local water levels. Meanwhile, in Blue Hill, PFAS are found in 30 percent of tested wells in Blue Hill. Blue Hill names a new chief to the fire department, while Brooklin wrestles with an old boiler at its school. George Stevens Academy is in the spotlight this week, as the academy announces a return to its homestay model for housing international students, and a new head of school shares his aspirations for the upcoming school year.
