Allure Of The Sea
Water is a daily part of life, and it is one of the most vital and abundant compounds on Earth. More than 70 percent of the Earth’s surface is water covered, whether it is the oceans, the rivers or the seas. In the upcoming two-artist exhibition Oceana at Robert Lange Studios in Charleston, South Carolina, Adam Hall and June Stratton will explore “the allure of the sea while reflecting on our relationship with it.”
Hall’s large-scale paintings are close-up views of the ocean’s waves. They show the constant movement with no land in sight, just an endless bounty of water. “Because there is such a common thread in most all of us that is drawn to the water, the painting can quickly connect with the viewer,” Hall says. “That connection is so satisfying to be a part of. Hopefully these paintings can remind others of the connection we have to the ocean and its importance to us.”

Although Nash's work is tightly rendered, he doesnât consider himself a photorealist, but rather someone who utilizes those techniques to express ideas.

Bold Figures; Bold Color
For Brooklyn based painter J Louis, itâs all about balance, which can mean many different things in a composition, but for Louis, itâs about balancing his female figures among a unique landscape of color.
