1972 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE 1200L

Having enjoyed a productive summer, Harry the Beetle was treated to some TLC last month, emerging from the workshop with a freshly painted, restored rear wing.

When purchased in the spring of 2016, Harry had a characterful, lived-in look about him – and that was one of the things that attracted me to the honest 1200L in the first place. One new wing came with the car when I bought it, but the other three all showed signs of dents, plus attempts to sort them. The rear passenger-side one was the worst of the lot.
