I first saw this bike a few months ago when photographing a Bikecraft V-Rod for HEAVY DUTY #166 and have kept in touch with Brad from Bikecraft since then, awaiting completion. This machine clearly had feature bike potential, even when it had no rear end or fuel tank. Now that it’s complete, it clearly meets expectations.
The owner of this sinister-looking machine provided an extensive list detailing what it took to transform a 2015 Breakout into what you see here, fresh out of the Bikecraft custom shop.
The quality of Bikecraft custom parts is staggering.
Shane bought this Breakout new already customized by another shop (now out of business). They had fitted the 280-wide tyre into the original swingarm and installed a sub-standard ‘cheap’ front end.
The bike proved to be a real headache for Shane, breaking three drive belts, problems with wiring, and a poor quality front end that was sloppy on the road. The bike was a pig, to put it bluntly, so Shane took his hassle bag Breakout to Brad at Bikecraft and got him to go over the bike in detail and diagnose the issues. Then Shane and Brad had a sit down to discuss repairs and plan customization options.
