A scorching hot 10-second Dyna from Melbourne’s V Twin Performance

DEEP SLEEPER

Performance and price go together, how fast you want to go comes down to how much money you’re able to spend. In this case, according to the owner, it costs even more if you want lots of power that looks standard.

At a brief glance this looks like a stock 1993 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide, the tinware and paint are all standard 1993, so too is the frame. But if you’re not paying attention at a traffic light, a brief glance is all you’re going to get as this weapon launches down the quarter-mile at 10.93 seconds and will disappear out of view in a traffic light drag, quicker than you can imagine.

Everything else on this bike is high-performance and only there to perform. This ain’t no 80 cube Evo, it’s an Ultima El Bruto punched out to 130 cubic inches, backed up by the toughest gearbox of them all, a Baker 6-speed Race shift with neutral at the bottom, and a Pingel solenoid shift mechanism. There’s a Rivera lock-up clutch assembly inside the Barnett primary cover. Performance Machine four-spot calipers all round, with twin floating rotors and a single floater at the rear pull this monster up from 125mph passes.
