This year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show was another biggie, once again breaking the 70,000 barrier for total visitors across the three days.
As ever, the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show held more than you could see in a single day, though it did depend to some extent on which day – the Friday was relatively quiet, but Saturday was packed and getting from one stand to the next took time and determination! The following is a selection of the exhibits that caught our attention.
The MGOC had the former Ted Lund ‘semi-Works’ MGA, NBL 273. Bought by the current owner in 1967 for £125, it was fresh out of restoration to the exact spec as used by Lund in 1956 on the MCC Rally. Also fresh out of restoration was an MGB GT V8 showcasing some subtle mods under the bonnet, including the ingenious use of an extra brake servo to lighten the clutch for the car’s long-term owner.
