just a few of the reasons that make monsoon our favourite time of the year. We are adventurous by nature and so are our dogs Frodo (a six-year-old golden retriever) and Cruise (a four-year-old labrador)! Long drives, fun-filled getaways and immersive trips keep the four of us on our toes and, most importantly, happy. Couple this with the fact that the rainy season is one of the best times of the year to embark on a road trip, especially in Maharashtra, where nature seems to come to life - and you can have an unmatched experience!

Every season we make it a point to explore a new destination... some place off the beaten path or interior pockets of the state that are still untouched. Our annual 'monsoon rush' is what we eagerly look forward to. The highlights of our escapades are discovering an unexplored trail or a hidden waterfall. For our latest monsoon venture, we travelled to a small region called Phansad in Maharashtra. It is known for its wildlife sanctuary, which we happily agreed to skip as dogs are not allowed within the premises. Instead, we decided to explore the rolling hills in the neighbourhood. Frodo and Cruise love being off the leash outdoors. Getting muddy and running free are their favourite things to do, and the lush hills offered the perfect setting.
