Is the Aprilia SXR 125 still maxi-fun enough to consider?

Have you been smitten every time you came across an Aprilia SXR 160, but raised your eyebrows on seeing its premium price tag? Well, if that’s the case, you can now breathe a sigh of relief. No, the scooter hasn’t gotten any cheaper, which we would love, but rather has been downsized. Aprilia has introduced a smaller displacement version of its dashing SXR 160 maxi-scooter, the SXR 125. This is not the first time Aprilia has done this; it has been implemented with the SR models, too, and it has worked in Aprilia’s favour. But could the same strategy work for the SXR as well? Let’s find out.

What makes a perfect shot? It's a cocktail of many elements — the right settings, correct gear, and a great environment. But more often than not, the defining factor behind a killer image is a giant pair of cojones — belonging equally to rider and photographer. Naturally, a few loose screws help, too. Thankfully, and rather coincidentally, Manaal and I align on this philosophy. How else would he willingly hoist a 21-inch wheel right up to my wide-angle lens, trusting that neither of us will cross paths catastrophically? We do have enough screws in the right places to not swap positions... Well, at least, that's what we tell ourselves.
