Selling cars in India is a tough business. What works in another place just doesn’t over here. The government keeps changing taxes overnight, and then the customer base itself is quite unpredictable. Sometimes they favour design, other times fuel economy, and are always extremely price-sensitive and brand conscious. Which is why this segment seems to be seeing more entrants every year, each enjoying varying levels of success.
