With the Taigun at its core, Volkswagen India are doubling down on their SUVW strategy for India

Three years and 1 billion euros later the Taigun is finally here and it is at the heart of Volkswagen India’s SUVW strategy unveiled at last year’s Auto Expo. Back then four SUVs were teased and now the wraps are off all of them — we already have the Tiguan Allspace; after being sold out in just a few months of it being launched the T-Roc is back now in showrooms; the Taigun mid-size SUV will hit the market just before the festive season; and the Tiguan 5-seater will be back, now sporting the 2-litre TSI engine and a thorough facelift.
