Pöttinger launches mechanical crop-care range

Pöttinger, the Austrian specialist manufacturer of grassland, tillage and seeding equipment, recently announced that it would offer rotary hoes, constant-pressure hoes and vario hoes from August this year. The company also launched the third generation of its high-performance-series loader wagons.

Pöttinger launches mechanical crop-care range

Chemical crop protection has been used for decades to help farmers increase their yields. But due to the increasing resistance of harmful organisms, new health and environmental goals, and declining consumer acceptance of chemical pesticides, a sharp reduction in chemical usage is required, according to agricultural machinery manufacturer Pöttinger.

For this reason, the company has decided to include crop-care machines for mechanical weed control among its offerings. Its new product range for sustainable, crop-specific and site-specific plant protection addresses the requirements of organic and conventional farmers alike.

ROTOCARE

The new ROTOCARE rotary hoe conserves the crop and is row-independent while delivering maximum output and low wear. In addition to mechanical weed control, the machine is equipped for a wide range of other applications, such as breaking up encrustations, incorporating fertiliser, aerating grassland, as well as shallow stubble cultivation.

With working widths of between 6,6m and 12,4m, driving speeds of 10km/h to 30km/h, and low pulling power requirements, the tasks are completed promptly and cost-effectively.

TINECARE

The new TINECARE constant-pressure hoe combines the best working results with the highest output. In addition to a patented compression spring system and large depth-control wheels, the machine has a high-strength frame with optimal weight distribution. This ensures consistently high-quality working results right up to the outermost tine. A quick-change tine system also saves time.

Working widths of 6,2m to 12,2m produce maximum output for the highest performance and efficiency.
