The Pap's And The Star Babies

The young brigade of Bollywood is definitely hogging a massive share of limelight on various media platforms. Some have even exceeded the popularity of their superstar parents as well. And if you think we're talking about the young actors debuting in Bollywood, you're completely wrong! The toddlers of B-town seem to have practically taken over news feeds and in spite of having fully filmi parents, they are the ones who are making headlines. We try to understand the `obsession' which the paparazzi have for these star kids.

Had you ever imagined that a baby could dominate your news feed all day, every day? Well, you may or may not like it, but even the slightest of frown on the one something toddler’s face, and boom, it starts trending. Oh yes, we’re referring to our very own Chote Nawab Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi. The first born of the Kalaakandi actor Saif Ali Khan and the oh-so-stylish Heroine Kareena Kapoor Khan, Taimur seems to have become the face of the ‘baby obsession syndrome’ which no other star kid till now has been subjected to. We can always see his images being captured when he is doing normal things like going out for a stroll with his nanny or parents, or just having a casual pay date with another ‘star kid’. And although there are a lot of trolls and memes all over the place, there is simply no stopping the paps from chasing this li’l baby. We definitely wouldn’t be surprised if he were to win the ‘social media influencer of the year’ award. But this obsession which we breed of this cherubic munchkin is not quite healthy, isn’t it?

Somehow, the demand for the cute kid pictures doesn’t seem to dip, and this has made Papa Saif even decide that he will soon pack off baby Taimur to a boarding school where he will be away from the media glare. Taimur’s granddad Randhir Kapoor and grand uncle Rishi Kapoor have also reportedly accused the media of robbing the child of a normal childhood. And although we may start the blame game of elevating the obsession of the much maligned press, we have seen his parents obliging the shutterbugs with picture and also his nanny carrying him in ways in which the paps can easily click him from different angles. They know the pulse of the nation and perhaps, are just letting the love flow!
