THE GREAT TATTOO RESET

Whether it’s a spur-of-the-moment decision or a deep personal statement, every tattoo has its own story. And while many tattoos continue to hold important meanings, others can represent something that we’ve outgrown or are ready to leave behind.

Enter the booming world of laser removal. Once seen as a last resort, the tattoo removal industry has now gone mainstream, with rapid developments meaning that tattoos can now be removed far more effectively – and also less painfully.

WHO IS IT FOR?

“There are a lot of reasons people want to remove tattoos,” says Lawree Pruha, a laser specialist at Removery. “Some people have changed their style over time, their tattoo is attached to a bad memory, or it doesn’t really fit in with the life they are leading now.”

For some people, it might be as simple as wanting to update their look with a newer, more modern tattoo, or to remove cosmetic eyebrow tattooing. Removery also provides services for cancer survivors who are seeking to remove their radiation tattoos, following approval from their oncologist first.

No matter the reason, removing a tattoo can represent starting afresh. “The tattoo removal process is as much a mental exercise as a physical one,” Pruha explains. “This simple change can have a hugely positive impact on a person’s emotional wellbeing and you can see that from the first treatment.”
