Jayess Teen Turns Passion for Baking Into Thriving Business
“A hobby that has taken over our lives.” Those are the words that Morgan Boyd, mother of Ana-Katherine Boyd, uses to describe her daughter’s cookie baking.
Through social media and word of mouth, 14 year-old AnaKatherine has obtained quite a good reputation for her cookie baking and decorating talents over the past year.
Boyd began baking cookies in October. “They were terrible,” she admitted when speaking of her first attempt.
Inspired by an aunt, she kept working until she found the perfect recipes for her cookie dough and icing. She doesn’t reveal her secret recipes to others, but did say that she tweaked a dough recipe she found on Pinterest.
