Capturing Lives Through Photography

What do Neil Armstrong Wlanding on the Moon, the birth of a child or a wedding ceremony have in common? …In case you are still wondering it's the “Moment” of incidence, the events that eventually becomes the part of history, whether personal, or for the mankind as a whole. As most of would agree, life not about the no of breaths you take, rather it is the number of “moments” that take your breath away. Photography as a creative medium possesses the extraordinary power to freeze these such moments, however insignificant or big, and turn these into an accumulation of memories which may have an everlasting impact on us for the rest of our lives.

A photo says a thousand words. Capturing lives through photographs/images is somewhat incredibly precious, irreplaceable and magical at the same time. People may use the art of photography for a number of reasons including storytelling-

a. A father may take the first photo of his newborn child or a wife may capture a moment of her daughter taking the first steps ..to freeze it for eternity.

The Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) under the aegis of Union Ministry of Culture, the apex institution in the country to link art with education, a sort of NCERT for art & culture education and ChildFund India, a child development nonprofit and subsidiary of ChildFund International, on November 21 together staged and celebrated ChildFund India's Khilta Bachpan initiative where it is trying to provide access to art and culture education to children aged 6-18 from government schools in Delhi. With CCRT collaboration this campaign added Khilta Bharat to Khilta Bachpan.
