Caged zoo owner hired hit man to murder rival - FBI

KINKY zoo owner Joseph Maldonado was so furious with rival animal rights activist Carole Baskin — who repeatedly accused him of cruelty to his tigers — he hired hit men to snuff her, say lawmen.

But one of the would be killers was actually an undercover FBI agent — and Maldonado’s scheme was declawed.

Now, the 55-year-old owner of Oklahoma’s Wynnewood Zoo, who brags about being gay and having “kinky sex,” faces being caged like his big cats for 20 years and a $500,000 fine if convicted of plotting the slaughter of Baskin, who runs a Florida animal rescue sanctuary.
