I got my first real six-string
“The first guitar I played was probably one of my dad’s. That was just what was around the house. I got my first guitar when I was 17, like my own guitar, and it might have been an acoustic Alvarez. I think I got the acoustic first and then I got my first electric when I was 17, 18. One was an acoustic Alvarez and the other was a Stratocaster, a hand-built one that my dad picked up for Christmas.”
