A 20-year Love Story!

Ben and Jen's second chance at love comes almost two decades after he first popped the question

It's a Saturday night and a beautiful woman is luxuriating in a bubble bath. Next thing, the door opens and her handsome hunk of a lover is there, dropping to bended knee.

“Will you marry me?” he asks. “Yes” she replies, her eyes brimming with tears.

A scene from one of her romcom roles it could be, but this time Jennifer Lopez (52) is the real-life star of the moment in which Ben Affleck (49) also plays a lead role.

“I just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time, trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening all over again”

Yes indeed.

This is Bennifer 2.0, the rekindled romance that has us all believing in second chances and the notion that happily ever-after may well exist. Ben put a lot of thought into the green cushion-cut diamond ring he presented when he popped the question - an even more impressive offering than the 6,1-carat radiant cut pink diamond he proffered first time round.

Green is my favourite colour, Jennifer says.

It's also my lucky colour. It's not often you get a second chance at true love.”

And so Ben and Jen are set to head down the aisle again - and this time it may just happen.
