Global men’s fashion is moving in the right direction with the male dresser opting for colour, innovative silhouettes, styling details, and even prints. While Indian men’s wear seems to be aimed at the current season, designers for the male category are revealing trends for the Autumn/Winter 2021 seasons in Europe and the Far East.
INDIAN FASHION TRENDS FOR THE SEASON
Men’s wear in India takes on a different profile for the sunny months as revealed by designers during the FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week digital edition in March 2021.
COlOUR CODED
Black and white makes a strong comeback with splashes of neon green. Bringing in a casual flavour are sunny yellow, beige, striking green, pastel blue and a mélange of colours. When it comes to formal wear, navy blue tops the chart accompanied by mid grey, and steel grey makes a mark on trench coats. Hot hues like fiery red and orange add a touch of fun, but it is the shades of sturdy browns that give add a dash of elegance. Ivory comes onto the colour charts as an interesting neutral option. While pale blue brings along a hint of pastel magic, strong lilac gives an unconventional direction to men’s wear.
