"I Cannot Live Without Travel, I’ll Die!” Says The Winner Of India’s Next Top Model-season 2 Pranati Rai Prakash
Pranati Rai Prakash began her modeling career dur-ing her college years but it was the beauty pageant Femina Miss India which brought her into professional modeling. After that, she participated in India’s Next Top Model Season 2 and emerged a winner. She was described as one of the “sweetest” contestant. Born to an Army officer, Colonel Prem Prakash, and Sadhna Rai, Pranati hails from Patna. Because of an army background, she has travelled immensely while growing up. Her last stint was “India’s Next Superstar” in which she unfortunately got eliminated. Here is a conversation The Lifestyle Journalist…
How did you start your journey as a model?
I started modeling in college itself but did it professionally only after winning Miss India 2015.
Who is your icon in the fashion world?
There are several role models but I love Alesia Raut, Padmalakshmi, Archana Akhil Kumar and I love Tina Fey (laughs!).
One sweet/interesting memory from your childhood that you still remember.
I have a lot of memories but recently I found a photograph of mine when I was hit by a horse. My father is in the army so I got to travel a lot. But I remember this one time when I just walking towards this horse to take a photograph with, and the horse turned around and I fell (laughs) That is one incident I cannot forget and my brother captured it well as he was shooting a video for me.
In this age of social media, how much is privacy important for you?
