In our childhood days, chilled ice cream with crunchy waffles on a hot day was the ultimate mood turner. However, many dieticians are of the view that most ice creams are loaded with calories and fats, which may not only make you fat but also result in other health problems. In the recent years, frozen yoghurt has made its place in the list of healthy treats.
However, you need to examine several factors before you actually decide which frozen treat is better for you.
NUTRITIONAL VALUE
Both ice cream and frozen yogurt are made from dairy products, the main nutritional difference lies in the fat content. One bowl of vanilla ice cream approximately contains 275 calories, 5 grams of protein, 31 grams of carbohydrates, 15 grams of fat and 9 grams of saturated fat. On the other side, one bowl of vanilla frozen yogurt approximately contains 219 calories, 5 grams of protein, 37 grams of carbohydrates, 6 grams of fat and 4 grams of saturated fat.
