When the American fashion photographer Bill Cunningham said, “Fashion is the armour to survive the reality of everyday life,” he probably didn’t anticipate how true his words would be in 2020, four years after his death. Today, dressing looks vastly different from what it did even as early as March, before a nationwide lockdown was enforced in our country and in many parts of the world. Style quickly gave way to comfort, with pieces that were once office staples making their way to the back of our closets. But as many of us soon discovered, it’s important to delineate the day to mentally prepare for the move from home to work, even if we’re in the same space physically.
