Talk by Smt. Hansaji J. Yogendra
Fear is something that we instill in our children. We scold them that if you do something naughty, I will beat you; if you don’t study well, I will punish you; if you run outside, somebody will take you away etc. The child also picks up the fears that his parents have. If the mother is frightened of a cockroach or a lizard, the child too develops a fear for them. But on the other hand to take care of a fearless child is also difficult. If he is not afraid of getting burnt he will put his finger into the fire. So, if some amount of fear is instilled in the child it is easier to handle him. But that would not be the right way to manage the child.
