The Unstructured Drama of Life

'All the world is a stage' is the phrase that begins a monologue from William Shakespeare's pastoral comedy 'As You Like It.'

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts."

The comparison of the world to a stage and people to actors is extremely appropriate. All dialogues are pre-written. One just watches the drama of life unfold. So in actuality, one may say that everything is structured. The only liberty we have is to remain balanced when the drama unfolds. In a way, we are puppets in the hands of the master puppeteer.

We move according to some larger law. Dr Sahab always said, "Expect the unexpected" because we do not have acceptance of what is expected. Can we not learn the lesson, to not interfere with life?

The problem is that we humans are a bundle of emotions. We are driven by emotions. Any decisions taken under the emotional flux is bound to go wrong in the long run. The soul has its seat in our heart. The heart is also the seat of all emotions.
