Whether you go out for a party or party at home, high-calorie temptations are always close by. This leads to the intake of some unwanted calories and unhealthy fatty food. Apart from visibly adding to the expanding waistline, festivals take a toll on the liver, kidneys, and intestines, which have to work overtime to flush out toxins that have come in along with all the food. If you are fighting to keep your weight, cholesterol, and diabetes in check, this season can offer the most dangerous pitfalls for good health. The body soon will let you know that fine-tuning is required.
2020 has begun and let us start the New Year with a clean slate. Contrary to popular perception, one need not take an elaborate break consisting of endless spas and unearthly diets or rigorous fasting to gain the lost health back. The answer lies in Detoxification, Cleansing, Purification – whatever you name it; this is the perfect time to become healthy. Detoxifying is the removal of toxins stored in the tissues. Detoxification should be an ongoing process to have the maximum health benefits.
Take these simple steps, based on the Four Pillars of Classical Yoga to regain your health and to embrace fitness as a part of your lifestyle:
Ahara: What we eat, how much we eat and how we eat are all important areas to be taken care of.
Cut back on sugar: it's most likely that your system is suffering from an overload of sugar due to an excess of sweet intake. You do not need to avoid sugar completely, which leads to other problems. Instead, restrict your sugar intake by satisfying your sweet cravings with natural sugars contained in fruits.
