Born from the search for a simple, hand-thrown pot in great colours, Arran Street East designs and produces homewares for people who enjoy simple, functional, and beautiful objects. We talk to owner Laura Magahy.

What inspired you to create your brand? We made our home deep in the heart of Dublin, amid the calm and the storm of the fruit and vegetable market, the red of the brick, the inky blue-black of the slate. From our headquarters, tucked away amidst Dublin’s Victorian Fruit and Vegetable Market, our colours are blended to our own secret recipes, suffused with the delicate hues of fruit and vegetables: pink grapefruit, lemon, pomegranate, cabbage, potato, and parsnip. As part of this ancient city, with its history written on every corner, this year we introduced a colour collection inspired by Dublin’s streets: Slate, Steel, Copper Green, Portland Stone, Brick, and Terracotta.
