Designed for Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranut, this home is located in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, and is a modern day castle. This 7,600sqft home draws its inspirations from the scenic mountain view. As Shabnam says, “It’s all about weaving a story that has an old soul. In essence, it is a vintage mountain home that I’ve designed to reflect an international design sensibility.” From the ceiling rafters, to the cement/ floor panels, to the surface panelling along the walls...this home is a luxe vintage ode to the humble mountain roots of the star.

Inspired Zen

Inspired by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret, this Gurgaon-based home has several elements that take after the works of these architecture legends. From the furniture, art and interior works, Ash Abode, as Farah and Dhaval call it, is a home grounded by simplicity, clean lines and solid colour blocking. Says the duo, “The sedated palette of cement-finished grey, sienna and sage, set the stage for a home with a Zen-like stillness. We wanted the materiality of the walls, ceiling and floor to be matt, and only to differ in colour.”
