MONSOON CAN THROW UP nasty surprises making driving on wet and slippery roads a tricky affair. Waterlogged roads riddled with potholes make the job even more formidable. Then there is driving at night in the rain, which can be especially challenging.

The windshield and the windows fog up frequently reducing visibility. Oncoming traffic headlights tend to refract through the wet windshield glass, straining our eyes. Poorly lit roads add further to drivers’ woes.

Before you set out, check your vehicle’s tyres, replacing bald ones to ensure better on-road grip and traction. When driving in the rain, it is essential to reduce the speed so there is enough time to react.

Here are some tips for a safe drive this monsoon:
