Noida-based Expocorp, designed by Sagar Datta of Casa Interio, stands out for its ideology of giving a face to factory outlets through creative designing.
When it comes to starting a factory, the first task would be to invest in machinery, assets, technology or manpower rather than focusing on how a factory would look. Going the other way round, was Sagar Datta of Casa Interior, who creatively designed Expocorp, a garment export house that deals in manufacturing women apparels.
Spread across 10,763 sq. ft. area and situated amidst Noida Industrial Area, Expocorp is segmented into distinctive floors that have various business departments like administration, designing, production and merchandising. The interior designer refurbished the ground floor, i.e. the administrative and corporate floor, that starts with the entrance area leading you to two directions, one that connects you to the MD’s cabin and the other leading to the administration department comprising accounts, logistics and the manager’s cabin. This further connects to a walk-in alley that further leads to the sampling and merchandising division. You can also access the boardroom from the MD’s cabin. The floor also has the facility for two washrooms.
Ask Sagar what the client was expecting out of the factory outlet and he shares, “The client was liberal in his approach and wanted to have a space that is unique, innovative and has its own identity. They also wanted modern setup to cater to their international clientele.”
