ARTIST KRUTI RAGHANI, TALKS ABOUT CREATIVE USE OF ART IN ENHANCING INTERIOR SPACES!
Tell us about your journey in this field of art?
Back in the time when I started, art was perceived just as an extra-curricular activity, there was hardly any awareness about the varied scope that this field has to offer. Sketching, drawing, painting was just another hobby in those days. But today, India, with many developed and developing countries of the world, is opening doors for the myriad facets of this dynamic and creative industry. Art has become a centre-stage for so many professions like advertising, digital branding, architecture, fashion, jewellery, interiors, retail, etc. Today, you can easily pursue a career in art and design without being judged or looked down upon.
I was fortunate to realize quite early in my life that I was born to be an artist, no matter what field I chose to enter professionally, but I would always find art at the base of it all. I completed my diploma in Fine Arts from Rachana Sansad and went abroad to pursue a degree from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design, Auckland, New Zealand.
I was keen on exploring a way to combine the basic knowledge of fine arts with commercial arts, and this helped me discover a new facet of being an artist – digital paintings. At Kraftech, I try to bring about an innovative confluence of architecture and art by conceptualizing, designing stone-sculptures, exquisite marble carvings, murals, etc, which become a significant part of the ambience and decor of the property.
As an artist, how did you develop a niche for yourself? How unique is your style, could you please elaborate?
